Cedar Point is an amusement park along the shores of Lake Erie and known as "America's Roller Coast". It had been on my bucket list to visit for many years and with time off this past summer I was able to visit with the girls. One bonus of this park is that there is a beautiful RV campground right on the property which also had priority access to all the fun. This was a campground designed for large RV's and was pretty expensive but had beautiful amenities including our own pool, beach and lighthouse access.
It was also the first time the girls rode a roller coaster which was a little scary for them, thankfully there were plenty of rides suitable for young children.
We stayed for 2 action packed days and then continued circling Lake Erie on our way to Kalamazoo Michigan to visit a family friend. Yes, there really is a Kalamazoo! After a morning of coloring, we visited the wonderful (and free) museum.
And at night we had a bonfire to roast some marshmallows.
Thank you Maggie for welcoming us into your wonderful home like family.
This trip we were also invited to join our good friends Karl and Catherine as they were camping at Rock Point Provincial Park. A beautiful campground on the North shore of Lake Erie with both sandy beach and limestone shelves containing fossils of marine animals from the Devonian period.
Thank you Karl for letting us join you and thank you Catherine for the memories - you are definitely missed.
